One of our homies that we’ve known for (gasp) 30 years recently told us that Cadbury Crunchie Rocks were “the best thing he’s ever put in his mouth”. That’s a seriously massive endorsement- and said Homie knows his way around the candy store, so we had to take heed. I didn’t have to look far to get them, as Candyhero.com had them in stock for a ridiculously reasonable cost compared to Amazon. And now they’re mine. Or were.
Cadbury Crunchie bars are chocolate covered honeycomb “toffee sugar”. Crunchie bites are smashed up Crunchie bars with corn flakes, covered in Cadbury milk chocolate. Hell yes.
Ever had Cadbury milk chocolate? It makes most other milk chocolate taste like dog poop, which as you can imagine isn’t super delicious. So you know the chocolate on and in these bad boys is legit.
Seriously-tell me you aren’t sort of dying to eat these in mass quantities. The little bag holds quite a few, and they all miraculously traveled across the world and held their shape.
When I first ate one, I wasn’t aware of the honeycomb thing, so I was taken a bit off guard. But boy, did I adjust quickly. These are like crack in chocolate form. Delicious, silky milk chocolate that makes you “get” why we all used to love milk chocolate in the first place, co-mingling with an absolute crunchy filled delight. The honeycomb toffee bits are quite light, aerated even. Always crunchy, but at the same time it dissolves quite easily amongst the chocolate. And they’re the perfect size-just big enough for a nice bite, or maybe two if you’re feeling dainty
I knew these were trouble as soon as I ate one. Ok, it was around six. So I brought them to work, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a confection get destroyed by the wolves faster. 100% approval across the board. So…
The best thing I’ve ever put in my mouth? Remember, I was a carnival balloonist for 4 years, so that’s a tough comparison. For sure though, it doesn’t surprise me at all that people love these. Hell, I love these, and for sure will get some again very soon.
Friends. Am I right?
Have you guys tried OMGs yet? these look similar to them.
Nope. Point us to ’em!
So glad your homie asked for this review. You make these sound really good! Toffee and honey in chocolate? There may be no better combination. Thanks for the tip – gotta get some!
