New favorite candy: salt water taffy.
Not ‘new’ like I’ve never had taffy before, and not ‘new’ like I’ve never written about Taffy Town before – because I did, back in 2018, where it got 5 freaking stars.
But ‘new’ in that I won’t eat another type of candy ever again. That’s how much I love this stuff.
We got a few new types from Candynation.com: Cookies & Creme, and Chicken & Waffles.
Of course we’re all leary about any candy named “chicken and waffles.” But put your fears aside. It’s damn good. Maple-y and savory. The salt helps, and I can taste the chicken. It’s not in your face, but just enough to say “ok yeah I feel you”. And it’s not too sweet. And the chew is spectacular. These are so good, they might even be better than the Cookies & Creme…
Which are also so f(*&ing good.
But the cookies and creme is pefectly chocolatey. And not fake chocolate tasting either which is really quite amazing. It’s hot cocoa-like. And the vanilla creme is right in there and these taste creamy, to go along with the taffy creamy feel. It’s some kind of wondeful.
Now you know why I won’t eat any other kind of candy.
I’m serious.
I won’t.
I’m all taffy all the time.
