Haribo. Germany. Foozball? Hell yes.
I can’t be sure that this bag is paying homage to the fabulous world of Foozball, but it has to be, right? Otherwise, I’m forced to believe that, for some reason, groups of three children in Germany lock arms and play soccer that way and I WON’T HEAR OF IT!
Look at these little guys! Of course in German flag colors: yellow, red and black. Arm in arm, kicking their way to glory. I like how it’s one big piece, but three different flavors: strawberry, lemon and blackcurrant.
These aren’t the most interesting tasting variety, but they’re fun. We’ve been banging the drum for our beloved Haribo for over a decade now, but we’re the first ones to admit that simply making new shapes with the same flavors isn’t groundbreaking stuff. Also, this variety in particular has a seriously muted taste. It was really difficult for me to even discern lemon, which should be an easy one. This doesn’t mean they’re not tasty: it just means…it’s all bit same-y and most definitely (for me) was difficult to really taste the specific flavors.
But it did bring a smile to my face!
Enjoy them, Germans! I doubt we’ll ever see these on our un-foozbally shores.
